The Winter Blues

Winter is not my best season...

Ya know, I have to confess that Winter is not my best season. It seems like everything just gets a little harder. It takes a little bit more effort to get out of bed in the morning. Sometimes it feels like I have to push words out of my mouth. I don't walk as fast as I normally do. I am not at peace. My energy is lacking, and I am often on what myself and my friends call "autopilot". I am just not quite myself, but the good thing is that it is only temporary. It gets a lot better once January rolls around. Eventually, I need to live by the beach and feel the sand on my toes. The ocean misses me, but I should be there soon.
