A Rampage of Appreciation
What we think about and THANK about is what brings more about.
Thanksgiving Day is a traditional North American holiday established to give thanks at the end of the harvest season. Personally, I find it of great value to appreciate and give thanks during the harvest season as well as at the end. In other words, it is very beneficial for us to give thanks…everyday. When we are in a state of appreciation, we are in a state of allowing happiness and well-being into our lives. By appreciating, we are facilitating the opportunity to have more to appreciate. For example, let’s say that you really like it when your spouse/partner does the dishes after dinner and you would like that to continue. Well, if you express your appreciation for it, I guarantee you that your spouse will continue to do the dishes. I also would like to guarantee you that if you don’t appreciate your spouse/partner’s efforts, they won’t continue. It is as simple as that. This concept of appreciation can be adapted to many different areas of your life. Try it…and see what happens. ;)
Anyway, in the spirit of giving thanks, here are a few things that I am personally thankful for…Hopefully, this will get your wheels turning about what you appreciate in your life.
I am thankful for the opportunity to live in a world where I have choices. I am thankful for diversity and the opportunity to sift through the variety that exists on this planet and find what works for me and supports who I am. I am thankful for my health, my body, and my ability to exercise, dance (I try to anyway), golf, and ride my bike. I appreciate the sense of freedom that comes with having a healthy body. I am thankful for my mind and my ability to make important decisions. I am thankful for having the feeling of security and abundance. I appreciate chocolate chip cookies and bakeries. Not only do chocolate chip cookies warm my stomach, but for some reason they also warm my heart. Mmm. Thanks to Justin Timberlake. He definitely makes life quite a bit more fun and having fun is what life is all about. Geez, ya know, I could go on and on and on. There is so much to be grateful for so instead of boring you, I will continue to appreciate in my mind. Guess, you are off the hook. Thanks for listening. Have fun appreciating and have a great holiday! Look forward to our upcoming developments. Thanks a lot!
